Life-Enhancing Amenities

Montefiore offers several amenities adding to the quality of life and enriching the environment for our residents and patients. Once a month events are held for all the rehabilitation pavilion’s patients. Often at these holiday-themed gatherings, the festivities include activities that work with the patient’s rehab therapy. In the past these have included hitting a piñata and pie baking. Additionally, our Breakfast Group gets together weekly to make their own food and practice this important activity of daily living.

Posh Nosh Café

       The Posh Nosh Café is a unique dining experience at Montefiore. We offer a wide menu selection that will spark excitement in your taste buds from omelets, wraps, hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, soups, salads, ice cream, smoothies and other snack items.

Our hours are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 am to 4 pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am – 5 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 4 pm. Whether you are taking out or eating in, we hope you’ll stop by and join us for breakfast or lunch.

The Shoppe at Montefiore

     Located in the lobby, the The Shoppe at Montefiore has a number of moderately prices gift items, clothing, jewelry, toys, purses and accessories. With help from volunteers,  residents, family members, staff and guests are encouraged to browse and shop.

The Shoppe at Montefiore is a great place to shop for special occasions and celebrations. Gift-wrapping is available.

Beauty and Barber Salon

Montefiore’s full-service beauty and barber salon is located on the first floor near the elevators. The salon offers haircuts, shampoos and sets, blow-drying, perms, highlighting and color, waxing and manicures.

Please call 216.910.2478 to set up an appointment or ask your social worker or nurse if you need assistance.  Salon services must be paid for with cash, check or your resident trust account at the time of service. Price lists are available upon request. Open Tuesday to Friday from 10 am – 4 pm.*

“Memories of the Sea”

Our custom-designed art glass water sculpture, located in the atrium, reminds us that art and technology together can bring us much joy and pleasure. “Memories of the Sea” uses the age-old technology of glass blowing to bring memories of underwater adventure to life. It is approximately 10 feet wide and 8 feet high and consists of stainless steel, glass and copper elements.

“Aquarium”

This 2,000 gallon, eight-foot-tall underwater ecosystem is located in the heart of Montefiore’s welcoming atrium. The aquarium consists of several colorful types of saltwater fish including clown and trigger fish. This state-of-the-art ecosystem is a beauty for all to enjoy. Visitors of all ages will take pleasure in watching the extraordinary sea life and the uniquely life-like colorful coral reefs.

Entrance Gardens, Outdoor Gardens and Courtyard

 

Our beautifully landscaped gardens offer residents, visitors, families and friends wonderful encounters with colorful foliage, sculptures and a stunning granite fountain. The season-less courtyards are handicapped accessible and serve as an outdoor retreat complete with dining patio, umbrella tables and chairs to encourage socialization and intergenerational activity between residents and children, who will enjoy the wooden climbing gym and slide. Shade trees and paved pathways for strolling, lush flower beds, bird baths and bird feeders all make our gardens an inviting and wonderful place to get together.p[[

Other amenities found throughout the Montefiore building are:
