102-year old Montefiore Resident Leaves Endowment to Jewish Federation of Cleveland in Special Ceremony

Lenore Berke, a 102-year old resident of Montefiore, signed the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Endowment Book of Life in a ceremony on Wednesday, September 15 in the atrium of Montefiore. The Endowment Book of Life contains personal messages from those who – through foresight and generosity – have made provisions for the future of the Jewish community through their estate plan. Keeping with the acts of tzedakah that her beloved husband Norman made early on, Lenore  made a gift to name Montefiore’s new orthopedic annex.
