Vinney Hospice f Montefiore – Volunteer Opportunities!
Companionship and support are provided to hospice patients wherever they reside – either at Montefiore, in their own home or in another healthcare facility. We help volunteers understand that hospice philosophy and learn ways to do their volunteer jobs. Special training and support are provided by our professional staff. Ongoing workshops to support and encourage hospice volunteers are offered throughout the year.
Here are some ways you can get involved:
- General office assistance
- Running errands and special projects
- Companionship visits
- Respite care
- Meal and snack preparation
- Reading
- Legacy documentation with patients and families
- Knitting and sewing projects
- Vigil volunteers
