Proper training enables our staff to provide the highest quality of care to our residents.

Our staff development department is responsible for education and hands-on training in all areas of senior healthcare.

Through their efforts, Montefiore remains at the forefront of senior healthcare providers, as evidenced by our continued accreditation by JCAHO, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and high marks by the Ohio Department of Health.

Your support will provide the tools needed to keep our staff in the know.

Please consider the following for gifts that make a difference:

• Low Bed: $900 - Our staff development requests one low bed for training and teaching safe patient transfer.
• Assorted DVDs: $18 - $35 - Our activities department requests assorted classical, Broadway musical and opera DVDs including “The Magic Flute” ($35), “Meet the Musicians Mozart” ($26), “Meet the Musicians Beethoven” ($26), “Meet the Musicians Bach” ($26), The Cleveland Orchestra at Carnegie Hall ($28), Bruckner: Symphony No. 5 recorded by The Cleveland Orchestra ($28), Broadway musicals ($18/each) and Itzhak Perlman: In the Fiddler’s House ($19).
• Resident Field Trips: $100 - $250 - Field trips to local venues including Goodtime III Lake/River Tours ($128), Lolly the Trolly Tour ($128) and funding for off-duty STNA assistance on field trips ($40/trip).
• Bike Rack: $255 - Human Resources would like a bike rack for employees who are biking to work. This would help employeessave on gas and pollution!
• Nintendo Wii Game System: $380 - This virtual game will help our rehab residents improve hand-eye coordination.
• Entertainment at The Weils: $200/performance - Performances from violinists Mary Beth Ions, Steven Greenman and fiddler Jim Kelley.
