Message from Kenneth G. Hochman, Montefiore Foundation Board Chair
SUPPORTING THE PRESENT, SAFEGUARDING THE FUTURE
I have had the privilege of serving as Board Chair of the Foundation since last June. The Foundation was formed in 1994 and its Articles of Incorporation set forth its purpose to "operate exclusively for the benefit of the Montefiore Home (the "Home")... (and to) have the power to raise, receive, manage and distribute funds exclusively for the benefit of the Home, thereby promoting and supporting the Home's purposes."

or over a year, Brian Adelson and his three children have made it a family affair when it comes to volunteering at Montefiore. Brian, his seventeen-year old son Ben, 15-year old daughter Lucy and 13-year old daughter Isabel - began their altruistic endeavor when Lucy first came up with the idea of volunteering. After some discussion was made on exactly where to volunteer, Brian headed up the choice for Montefiore.

Montefiore has once again earned a gold seal of approval from the Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO - Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) for re-accreditation of their home health care and hospice services.

We encourage family members to celebrate Passover and share this holiday together. Montefiore Seders for the first night of Passover will be conducted in the Maltz Chapel/Auditorium and the Post-Hospital Care Center dining room. Second night Passover Seders will be conducted in resident dining rooms.
