BE A HOSPICE VOLUNTEER TODAY!
BRING A SMILE TO SOMEONE’S DAY.
Hospice volunteers understand the importance of companionship and support. Some have had experience with hospice themselves and want to help other families. Others are simply caring people dedicated to support those in need. They all see their volunteer experience as an opportunity to give back to the community.
What is hospice?
Vinney Hospice of Montefiore focuses on the essentials of life – comfort, dignity and love. By tending to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and their families, we offer a full range of support when it matters most.
Who gets involved?

Vinney Hospice of Montefiore has earned a reputation for excellence and our volunteers are central o that superb care.
Hospice volunteers are eager to use their time and talents to assist hospice staff, patients and families.
Compassion, commitment and caring are the hallmarks of a hospice volunteer.
What training is involved?
We help volunteers understand hospice philosophy and the physical, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of end-of-life care. Special training is provided by our professional staff. Ongoing workshops to support, educated and encourage hospice volunteers are offered throughout the year.
